Purpose
By using these Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy &
Cookie Policy. You shouldn’t use the Services if you don’t agree with
this policy or any other agreement that governs your use of the
Services. We collect data directly from you, such as information you
enter, data on your content consumption, and data from third-party
platforms you link with Abundent Academy. We also collect information
about your device and which areas of our Services you engage with or
spend time with automatically. Depending on how you use the Services,
we may collect different data from or about you. Here are some
examples of the data we collect to help you understand it better. We
gather whatever data you supply directly when you register an account
and use the Services, including through a third-party platform.
Cookies and Data Collection
We gather, store, and share data about your activities across
our own and partner websites, using cookies, which are little
text files stored by your browser. They help us remember details about
your visits to Abundent Academy, such as your favourite language and preferred currency and
make the site more user-friendly. We also store your cart and wishlist metadata as a cookie
for later reference. Clear pixels may also be used in
emails to track deliverability and open rates. When you access and use
the Services, Abundent Academy and third-party service providers (such
as Google Analytics and third-party advertisers) use server log files
and automated data collection tools such as cookies, tags, scripts,
customised links, device or browser fingerprints, and web beacons
(collectively, “Data Collection Tools”). When you use the Services,
these Data Collection Tools track and collect certain System Data and
Usage Data (as described in Section 1). We may link data collected
through those Data Collection Tools to other data we collect as
outlined in this policy in some situations.
What We Use Your Data For
We use your data to deliver our Services, interact with you,
troubleshoot difficulties, protect against fraud and abuse, enhance
and update our Services, analyse how people use our Services, serve
tailored advertising, and as needed by law or for the safety and
integrity of our Services. We keep your information for as long as
it’s needed to accomplish the goals for which it was obtained.
Who We Share Your Data With
Instructors, other students, companies that perform services for us,
Abundent Academy affiliates, our business partners, analytics and data
enrichment providers, your social media providers, companies that help
us run promotions and surveys, and advertising companies that help us
promote our Services all have access to certain information about you.
We may also share your information if it’s necessary for security,
legal compliance, or a company reorganization. Finally, if the data is
aggregated or de-identified, or if we have your approval, we can
distribute it in other ways.
Security
Abundent Academy takes reasonable security precautions to protect your
personal data that we collect and keep from unauthorized access,
modification, disclosure, or destruction. These measurements differ
depending on the data’s kind and sensitivity. Unfortunately, no system
can be completely secure, thus we cannot guarantee that interactions
between you and Abundent Academy, the Services, or any information you
supply to us in conjunction with the data we collect through the
Services will be free from unauthorized third-party access. It is your
obligation to secure your password, which is a vital aspect of our
security system. You should not disclose your password with anyone
else, and if you suspect your account or password has been
compromised, you should change it right away. Internally, we encrypt all
customer sensitive information such as phone numbers, home addresses, and email addresses
using military-grade AES-256 encryption, and passwords are double hashed using
Blowfish and SHA3-256 encryption to be resilient against rainbow attacks and cannot be decrypted by our staff or outside party.
Customer’s Rights
You have specific rights when it comes to the use of your data,
including the opportunity to opt out of commercial communications,
marketing-related cookies, and third-party data collecting. You can amend or delete your
account from inside our Services, and you can also contact us if you
have any individual data rights demands. Parents who believe we have
gathered personal data about their underage kid inadvertently should
contact us for assistance in removing such information.
Updates & Contact Info
We’ll tell users by email, in-product notification, or another
mechanism required by law if we make a major change to this policy.
Changes take effect the day they are published. If you have any
questions, complaints, or conflicts, please contact us by email or
snail mail.
