Purpose
Abundent Academy respects our Content Providers, instructors, users,
and other third-party intellectual property rights, and we expect our
users to do the same when using the Services. Users who consistently
infringe or are accused of infringing on others copyrights,
trademarks, or other intellectual property rights may have their
accounts suspended, disabled, or terminated. The Digital Millennium
Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”) provides recourse for copyright
owners who believe that material appearing on the Internet infringes
their rights under U.S. copyright law. If you would like to read the
DMCA, please visit the U.S. Copyright Office website at
http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf.
Copyright Takedown Notices
When content is notified as infringing in a copyright takedown notice
received from the owner of the original content, Abundent Academy’s
policy is to remove it from our service. We also have a policy of
removing all content from instructors who have been found to be repeat
infringers (for whom Abundent Academy has received more than two valid
copyright takedown notices). We reserve the right to cancel an
instructor’s account at any time, including if they submit content
that violates other people’s copyrights.
Counter Notification
If we get a legitimate copyright takedown notice, we’ll send a copy to
the instructor who posted the reported content, along with notices
that: (1) the content was reported for copyright infringement, and (2)
we’re removing it from the Abundent Academy platform. We’ll also
include a form for the instructor to complete and return to us in
order to file a counter-notification. You may email us a
counter-notification if your content has been reported for copyright
infringement and deleted from the Abundent Academy platform, and you
believe we made a mistake or that you have permission to use the
reported content from the owner.
Trademark Takedown Notices
When content is reported and proven to be infringing on a third-party
trademark, Abundent Academy’s policy is to remove it from our site.
You can send trademark takedown notices to Abundent Academy if you’re
a trademark owner or a trademark owner’s authorized agent. Abundent
Academy has the right to suspend or delete an instructor’s account at
any time, including if they submit anything that infringes on
another’s trademark rights.
Third Party Platform
We recognize that when you publish and make your content public on the
Abundent Academy platform, you want to ensure that it won’t be
available on another network without your consent. To combat copyright
infringement and piracy in our instructors’ courses, we’ve worked with
an anti-piracy vendor to look for instances of infringement and have
them removed from most major search engines to prevent future traffic.
